Staying Connected to Childhood

I still feel like that kid. Curious, playful, and driven by imagination. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to truly listen to children and support their talents, so they can grow up feeling secure and empowered from within. This genuine connection to childhood is why I love being around them. My goal is simple: for kids to feel both free and safe as they have fun.

I believe in bringing children back into direct contact with nature and the creative process. In a digital world, I want to offer them the space to get their hands dirty, to discover how things grow, and to find their voice by moving freely or even making their own films. Through these open experiences, they do not just learn skills; they discover their own autonomy.

After working at Natuurfontein, I transitioned into a freelance rolen. Today, I teach my own programs through Just Move at five schools across Amsterdam and Amstelveen. My classes blend nature based learning, filmmaking, and freestyle dance, giving kids the freedom to move and create in their own authentic way.

I also collaborate with Crea Kidz to lead outdoor workshops where children learn grounding, practical skills. Whether we are building a campfire, crafting wooden flower pots, or creating sculptures from branches, the focus remains the same: honoring the harmony between creativity and the natural world.
