While studying documentary directing at the Dutch Filmacademie, I often found myself drawn to the camera department. There’s something powerful about the way a camera doesn’t just capture a person but truly sees them. I love how it can open people up when they feel at ease in front of the lens. Creating that kind of comfort and connection comes naturally to me, and I was eager to bring my own vision to life—crafting images that feel intimate and honest, one-on-one with the subject.
Now, I work as a multidisciplinary filmmaker, taking on everything from directing to filming and editing. Born and raised in Amsterdam, my work has taken me both close to home and across the world, from Tanzania and Suriname to the Caribbean, Spain, and Italy. Since graduating in 2016, I’ve worked on a variety of projects—producing my own films, collaborating on commercial and documentary-driven stories, and working with companies like Dawn Collective, Pool Worldwide, The Merge, Earforce, and De Amsterdamse Media Fabriek for brands like Suzuki, Demeter, and Humanitas.
Pretty much every video you’ll find on my website is made by my own hands—from the first idea to the final edit.
When I'm in the moment of filming someone or something, I’m always looking for images that capture the little details that make them stand out.
